Certainty Complexity Uncertainty |
|
On many occasions we are faced with issues which do not seem to be as simple to
resolve as others. There are too many related and knock effects to consider and sometimes
it is difficult to focus on all of these and not overlook something which is of vital
importance. The result is
that reaching a decision will take longer much longer than you would expect.
The solution to this is the recognition of the nature of the issue being discussed. Tony
Mann explains this in the context of Certainty, Complexity and Uncertainty and through
listening to this tape you too will begin to identify where your issues fit and will then
be able to approach the resolution of them in a different way.

Creating Understanding using SPO |
|
There are occasions in meetings and
discussions when people lose their way uncertainty creeps in and the discussions
fall into a black hole. A technique for retrieving the situation and one which
facilitators find invaluable, is SPO Summarise Propose Output. Its use helps the
group to understand the situation ; gives them the opportunity to consider a route forward
; as well as allowing them to see what the potential outcomes would be.
This CD allows you to listen to a series of conversations and in each
case identify the process words and, if you wish, to create your own SPO before listening
to a suggested one.
